- ➤ On Tuesday, a local farmer who passed away in late August was honored with a procession of 50 tractors that traveled from Amy Chapel Church in Eau Claire to his horse barn in Elk Mound — the tribute celebrated his passion for farming and his work with John Deere tractors for his 120 dairy cows. Phillips Senior Center hosted its third annual resource fair on Tuesday, drawing hundreds of attendees and over 70 vendors who offered in-home care, voting resources, and legal services—organizer Clarice Owens said the event also featured door prizes, a bake sale, and gift basket raffles.
