- ➤ RCU Foundation + Eau Claire Marathon awarded grants to local nonprofits after community votes determined winners at the ECM 10K Charity Classic on Wednesday in Eau Claire. Leader-Telegram
- ➤ The Eau Claire Community Foundation awarded over $235,000 to 46 nonprofits to boost local programs and address emerging needs. The press release highlighted generous donor support — a factor that strengthens community efforts in Chippewa Valley. WEAU
- ➤ Feed My People Food Bank hosts its 26th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser (11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today) at its location, featuring local bowl art, food trucks, a silent auction, and guided tours to show how the food bank aids neighbors. WEAU

- ➤ Venture Academy broke ground on a new $22 million K-12 facility in Lake Hallie near Jacob's Well church; the campus will serve grades five through twelve while younger students remain in the current building. Construction is underway and the school will open for the 2027-2028 school year. WQOW

- ➤ The Garding Against Cancer golf outing is scheduled at Hickory Hills Golf Course on Friday, June 19th, with new organizer Matt Siverling aiming to raise $150,000 for UW Carbone Cancer Center research; Bob and Janet Lesniewski stepped back after leading the event to raise over $350,000 in previous years.
