- ➤ The Chippewa Valley Air Show will host the Blue Angels on June 12 to 13, 2027 at the regional airport, featuring aerial performances, historic military aircraft, and STEM exhibits. Organized by Chippewa Valley Council and Scouting America, the event will support nonprofits + youth programs with ticket sales starting in 2026. WQOW
- ➤ UWEC biology research students are launching a food + fund drive to help ease local food insecurity in Eau Claire. The drive will soon collect donations from residents and community partners. Leader-Telegram

- ➤ The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library has opened its annual holiday train display in the Riverview Room, featuring 1900s trains and miniature towns of Wisconsin landmarks. Volunteers built a 20x24 sqft layout with running trains and a Polar Express event on Saturdays, and the exhibit will run until December 27. WEAU
- ➤ The Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra will present its holiday concert, The Magic of Christmas, at the Pablo Center on Saturday, Dec. 13. The event will bring festive music and local spirit — a treat for community members. WEAU

- ➤ Chippewa Valley Health Cooperative received a $750K gift from Rutledge Charities and Casper Foundation — funds meant to support reopening the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls, after its Cancer Center opened last November, with full services planned by summer 2026. WEAU

- ➤ Bloomer and Thorp boys' basketball battled wind and snow on Tuesday, Dec. 9 in a winter game, and UW-Eau Claire men’s basketball will try to stay unbeaten in its upcoming match with Northwestern-Minnesota.
