- ➤ Two Men and a Truck in Eau Claire launched a pet supply drive called Movers for Mutts to collect 1,000 donations of pet food, treats and litter for the Community Humane Association, which cares for more than 140 animals as the colder months approach. Items can be dropped off at local spots including HY-Vee, Gaming Generations, Aldi, Game Stop and Dogtopia until December 10 — the campaign helps ensure animals have the supplies they need. WEAU
- ➤ A Chippewa Falls community dedicated a sculpture Friday night to honor Reverend Kara Baylor and her mother Marilyn Skatrud who touched many lives. The sculpture—titled Newly Discovered and created by Reverend Baylor's husband, artist Trenton Baylor—shows the town’s deep respect for both women. WEAU

- ➤ A Burlington store will open soon in the former Joann Fabrics space after the craft store closed due to bankruptcy. Burlington, which is known for deep discounts on clothing, shoes, home decor and gifts—has more than 1,100 locations but has not shared its planned opening date. WQOW
- ➤ FuboTV dropped WEAU from its service amid a dispute between Disney and Comcast involving NBC and Telemundo networks. Viewers can still watch WEAU free by using an antenna or by downloading its streaming apps—available on Apple, Android, Roku, Fire and Apple TV. WEAU

- ➤ On November 11, the City Council approved a three-year contract with Visit Eau Claire to boost tourism by sharing room tax revenue—70% to the nonprofit for local attractions and a new Destination Master Plan and 30% to the city. The agreement also requires monthly meetings and an annual review of the marketing plan to guide future tourism efforts. WEAU
- ➤ Community leaders from Dairyland Power Cooperative, Eau Claire Energy Cooperative and Xcel Energy discussed rising energy demand and the need to upgrade aging infrastructure at the Eau Claire Chamber’s ‘Eggs and Issues’ event on Friday at Chippewa Valley Technical College—emphasizing that utilities must expand capacity with cost-effective measures to keep the grid stable. - ➤ Eau Claire Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Bob Haller advises hunters to dress in blaze orange today as gun deer season begins and reminds cabin owners to keep space heaters away from flammable items, ensure proper ventilation for fireplaces, and inform someone of their plans in case of emergency.
