- ➤ Heidi Greene got back her lost high school class ring, missing for 31 years, when Bill Gray (a Cadott Hornet) found it on November 5 at Ray’s Beach and used Facebook to contact her; her son later cleaned it so the ring is in perfect condition. WEAU
- ➤ Hundreds attended the sixth annual Fall Extravaganza in Eau Claire where 42 vendors showed crafts for fall and winter holidays—organizers said they aimed to help residents finish their Christmas shopping. The next vendor fair will be held on December 6 in Menomonie with a special Christmas guest. WEAU

- ➤ On Saturday, over 100 high school bands will gather at the Pablo Center in Eau Claire for UWEC’s 59th High School Honors Band program; students will begin arriving at 7 a.m. and will have only 12 hours—just enough time to perform four musical pieces—before their show. Leader-Telegram
