- ➤ The L.E. Phillips Public Library is showing 90 early 1900s photos that capture old Eau Claire neighborhoods, including work by Celia Marx-Caton whose pictures sparked family stories. An open journal at the exhibit lets visitors share their own photos and thoughts — the display runs now at the library. WEAU
- ➤ The Chippewa Valley Art Cooperative is holding a fall exhibition at the Heyde Center in Chippewa Falls until December 19 that features over 45 local artists. The group will host a free reception on Thursday from 5—7 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and live music by harpist Sarah Ohr. WEAU

- ➤ The 2025 gun deer hunt will begin November 22 and end November 30, and the DNR reports that archery, crossbow, and youth hunts are showing stronger numbers than last year. Zone boundaries in several DMUs were adjusted and license sales increased—indicating a robust season ahead. WQOW

- ➤ Fairfax Street was closed by the City of Eau Claire for construction that began milling on November 4, and a detour was set up via E. Hamilton Avenue, London Road, and Sessions Street—motorists must follow these alternate routes. Paving and pavement marking will continue weather permitting with work scheduled to end on November 7.
