A huge turnout for downtown Eau Claire trick-or-treat brought nearly 600 children and costumed locals to Barstow Street Saturday morning—local businesses handed out candy until noon.

UW-Eau Claire hosted its third Violin Viola Day where assistant professor Dr. Christine Harada Li and concertmaster Ilana Setapen taught students proper posture and playing techniques to avoid injury — the workshop encouraged students to ask questions and refine their skills.
