EDUCATION NEWS

  • Families in Eau Claire have protested a proposal to close or repurpose Roosevelt, Flynn and Longfellow elementary schools because declining enrollment has left many empty seats. Community members argue that closing these neighborhood schools will create larger class sizes (a concern expressed by Roosevelt teacher Brittany Ferrell) and force hundreds of students to transfer, which may strain remaining schools.  News8000.com
