Good morning, Eau Claire.

Attorney General Josh Kaul visited Eau Claire and warned about rising online threats to children, saying that cyberbullying and sextortion are growing dangers.

Officials report that sextortion tips rose to over 400 in 2025—up from 230 last year—and Kaul urged parents to talk openly with their children.

Eau Claire County launched its redesigned website today — featuring a mobile-friendly design, improved accessibility, and streamlined navigation.

The update follows months of careful collaboration and aims to help residents quickly access services and information.

The Eau Claire City-County Health Department reported the first human case of West Nile Virus (WNV) in Eau Claire County this year and urged residents to protect themselves from mosquito bites by using repellent (like DEET) and removing standing water from their yards.

A Minnesota nonprofit hockey team will come to Black River Falls on October 18 for a charity game at the Milt Lunda Memorial Arena to support veterans and raise mental health awareness.

The event, starting at 7 p.m., will include chuck-a-puck, raffles and a tribute to a local servicemember—its goal is to connect the team’s work to Wisconsin.
