- ➤ Superintendent Mike Johnson said the school district is discussing plans to consolidate elementary schools following an 8.4% drop in student enrollment over the past decade. - ➤ Starting in September 2026, Lake Altoona’s water level will drop eight to nine feet so that dredging in the delta—removing 169,000 cubic yards of sand—and dam repairs in October and January can be completed before March 1, 2027.
