- ➤ Eight local nonprofits received a $70,000 Community Health Cycle grant from the Eau Claire Community Foundation linked to a $9 million endowment from the former Sacred Heart Hospital—this fund is designed to support long-term health needs and aims to exceed $100,000 in grants next year. - ➤ Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for 81-year-old David Hogue after he went missing near midnight from his home on Indian Hills Drive and missed an 8 a.m. doctor's appointment—his green Volkswagen GTI with license plate 655-WHS was seen at 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Hwy 10 and Hwy 12.
