Community members gathered at the ninth annual Team Hope Walk in Eau Claire to raise funds and awareness for Huntington's Disease, with all proceeds set to support research and affected families.
Coordinator Shana Verstegen said participants joined rain or shine — a demonstration of ongoing commitment to fight the disease.
🎭 Culture
WHYS Radio 96.3 FM in Eau Claire celebrated twenty years on the air with WHYS Fest, a music festival that brought local and out-of-area musicians to the Chippewa Valley.
The volunteer-run station thanked loyal listeners for their support—ensuring its music lives on in the community.
🎓 Education
Students participated in a FIRST Robotics Competition offseason event in Eau Claire, where they built robots and learned skills such as teamwork, public speaking, and time management.
Teams were scored on communication and alliance selection (a key part of the competition) as they prepare for a new robotics season in January.

The Brewers broke their franchise record with a 14th straight win against the Reds on Saturday—rallying in extra innings with a late three-run home run that sealed the contest.
They will look to get a 15th win and complete a series sweep against Cincinnati on Sunday at 12:40 p.m.
