- ➤ Today, Nuss Truck and Equipment is hosting the 3rd Annual Terry Biddle Memorial Convoy and Truck Show with grounds open at 6 p.m. and convoy departures at 8:30 p.m. Truckers, friends and family from across the Chippewa Valley will gather to honor Terry and raise funds for the ECPD K9 fund and junior police academy— the event continues August 16. - ➤ Prestige Auto raised over $11,000 in its 12th annual fundraiser on Thursday night to honor local veterans — employees said a $100 donation per vehicle sale has helped contribute over $165,000 to veteran groups. WEAU

- ➤ Du’ Marion Stogner, a man from Eau Claire, appeared in county court via video on Aug. 14 for charges of substantial battery on a downtown footbridge and first degree intentional homicide in a Chippewa Falls shooting — his bond was set at $10,000 cash — according to court records. WEAU

- ➤ Junior Achievement visited Hy-Vee on Thursday morning to teach South middle schoolers how to run a food truck business—students created business plans, designed logos, and developed menus to learn entrepreneurial skills. WQOW

- ➤ Aspirus Health held a groundbreaking event in Chippewa Falls for a new 35,000 square foot hospital and clinic that will merge modern medicine with local care. The project will be completed and operational by September 2026 to help close the local health care gap. WEAU
