- ➤ A former Cornell man was convicted in Chippewa Falls for his fifth drunk-driving offense — he crashed his car in May at over four times the legal limit. Leader-Telegram

- ➤ A quiet field in Glenwood City became a realm of elves and knights for Ren in the Glen, an annual medieval fantasy fair started thirteen years ago by friends who loved Dungeons and Dragons.
