- ➤ Eau Claire authorities suspended court proceedings for 33-year-old Andrey Sichuga—who had a gun on school grounds after refusing to leave Putnam Heights Elementary following a job rejection—and committed him to DHS with a review hearing scheduled for October 21. WIProud
- ➤ A Township of Union man was charged after the Eau Claire Regional SWAT Team carried out a search warrant on July 16 that led police to seize 17 firearms (handguns, hunting rifles, and semi-automatic AR-style rifles), drugs, and cash ($1,564); he is held on a $50,000 bond in Eau Claire County Jail. - ➤ On July 16th, 2025, a search of a property in the Town of Union led authorities to detain three people and seize suspected drugs, firearms, and cash—43-year-old Shaun Fillmore now faces multiple drug and firearm charges with a $50,000 cash bond set. WEAU
- ➤ An Eau Claire man, James Jones, 38, was charged with causing death while driving with a suspended license after a fatal crash on July 19 at 12:45 p.m. at Hwy 12 and Green Meadows Road in the Town of Lincoln—police say a truck driver was injured and later died, his $5,000 bond was set, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 12. - ➤ Eau Claire man Mark Sokolowski was charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle after a two-vehicle crash on Christmas eve near Menomonie killed Correctional Officer Jeff Reynolds and injured four—he returned to court Tuesday—bound for further proceedings with an arraignment set for September 24.
