- ➤ Feed My People Food Bank hosted its 6th annual Operation Picnic starting Friday to raise funds for food needs over the summer. Over 60 volunteers from community partners—Royal Credit Union and Scheels—helped package food at the pantry and set up a pop-up site while donations through July 21 will be matched to help fund 200,000 meals. - ➤ Memorial High’s first graduating class from 1958 gathered Friday at Wild Ridge Golf Course’s conference room—sharing 67 years of memories as alumni recalled their school days. Joanne Baker and other graduates said the reunion felt like coming home and promised to continue meeting as long as any classmates remain. WEAU

- ➤ The LE Phillips Public Library has launched a new Community languages collection featuring books in French, Hmong, Ojibwe and Spanish for native speakers — a project developed after local surveys showed that students speak over 20 languages in the region. - ➤ Today, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is awarding $1.6 million in grants to 14 local organizations to support entrepreneurs. Eau Claire’s Community and Economic Development Associates will use its $50,000 for a Rural Business Innovation Lab—while Black River Falls’ First Nations Community Financial uses $200,000 to expand on-the-road training for Native, women-owned, and small businesses.
