- ➤ Education advocates and school leaders say the new state budget does not provide enough support for schools & leaves some districts with cuts while others get more funds. Eau Claire Area School District will lose $2 million in general aid and Eleva-Strum will lose $185,000, which may force rural communities to raise property taxes or pass referendums to make up the gap.
