- ➤ Just days away, the Chippewa Valley Air Show in Eau Claire will feature the Blue Angels performing at 3 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Commanding Officer Adam Bryan said roughly 80 team members are preparing—visiting local schools, hospitals, and community centers tomorrow morning—to connect with the public. WEAU
- ➤ Rescued cats from a Fountain City trailer hoarding incident are finding new homes as local shelters and humane groups report that 33 of the 51 cats have been adopted—efforts that include support from Mr. Kitty's Cat Café in Eau Claire. Christian counselor Cindy Currier, after losing her 17-year-old cat, adopted two of the rescued cats and said they are slowly learning to trust their new families. The Chippewa Herald

- ➤ A 54-year-old Eau Claire man, Thomas Burback — accused of pointing a gun at police — was charged after an officer-involved shooting on May 25th when an officer fired her gun as he held a revolver and will face a jury trial in September. WIProud

- ➤ On Tuesday, the city council approved four amendments to Eau Claire’s proposed Capital Improvement Plan for 2026 to 2030—changes that will guide upcoming city projects to improve public infrastructure and services. Leader-Telegram
- ➤ Earlier this week the Eau Claire City Council adopted the latest budget draft that lowers planned capital spending from $51.4 million to over $48 million for projects—parking, wastewater treatment, and affordable housing.
