Peach Fest now moves to The Yard Container Park in downtown Altoona as the event brings South Carolina peaches to fund local nonprofits.

Organized by The Nostalgic Bean and La Peche Community Foundation, the fair supports six local groups with its proceeds.

Summer Jam music festival returns today at the Eau Claire Event District with bands such as Styx, Blue Öyster Cult and Bret Michaels performing classic rock and free entry for active and retired military.

Organizers said they plan to expand the lineup next year — promising more music for fans.

On Saturday, June 20, the Eau Claire Axemen fell short at The Sonnentag against the Iowa Woo and dropped to a 0 to 4 record, while the Eau Claire Express won 10 to 3 with a first inning grand slam by Sean Cody; local Menomonie grad Lauren McCalla competed at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor in Philadelphia.
