- ➤ Eau Claire residents will join the annual Clearwater Clues Medallion Hunt to learn local history by solving clues that lead them to landmarks in the Chippewa Valley. The first hunt (focused on older history) will launch Saturday, June 21, with daily hints posted at 10:30 a.m. and a prize for the first participant to locate the medallion. WEAU
- ➤ Eau Claire Community Humane Association maintained its no-kill status in 2024 by saving over 90% of dogs and cats—meeting the nationally recognized benchmark—according to Best Friends Animal Society’s annual report. Makayla Johnson said the organization values animal welfare and safety in the community. WEAU

- ➤ Eau Claire will hold the inaugural Summer Jam music festival starting Friday — its first annual event — with legendary rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd, Everclear, Marshall Tucker Band and local acts set to perform. Festival director Jake Lynch said crews are setting up the main stage, VIP areas and sound system while a pre-party is held today at the High Country building. WQOW

- ➤ Xcel Energy is sharing tips to help Eau Claire residents beat the rising heat later this weekend and lower their energy bills.
