- ➤ After a pipe burst flooded the basement of its center, the Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley said it will not use that space this summer because of potential mold risks and the loss of equipment including a foosball table and pool table—cleanup costs are estimated at tens of thousands of dollars. The club said that roughly 45 kids will attend the modified summer program starting Monday, June 16. WEAU
- ➤ Downtown Eau Claire hosts Sidewalk Saturdays every Saturday through October from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.—local businesses offer unique fashion, home goods, and artisan food to create a lively outdoor shopping experience. WQOW
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Police responded on Sunday to an unoccupied boat near Half Moon Lake where a person drowned— the investigation continues with help from the Fire Department and DNR. WEAU

- ➤ Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. opened applications today for the 2025 Downtown Enhancement Grant program that will award $2,000 to a project improving downtown appeal + eligible businesses and property owners in the BID must apply online by July 6. WQOW

- ➤ Chippewa Valley Technical College received a new inoperable agriculture drone from Maverick Drone Systems to boost its drone training certificate program in repair, programming, piloting and maintenance. The $17,000 drone—used for seeding and spraying—will give 16 to 20 students hands-on experience this summer and expand a program started in 2019. WQOW
