- ➤ Yoga in the Park returns with free outdoor yoga sessions organized by Wendy Oberg of the Yoga Rooms. Starting Saturday, June 7th at 9 a.m. at River Park in Altoona, the classes welcome everyone and will run every Saturday until August 30th — participants should bring a mat, towel, or simply enjoy the grass. - ➤ The Wisconsin Northwoods Coats of Valor group distributed Quilts of Valor to 14 Chippewa Valley veterans at VFW Post 7232 in Eau Claire on June 3rd—presenting the quilts as a token of appreciation for their service. WIProud
- ➤ Sojourner House, an emergency shelter in Eau Claire, will operate year-round after Catholic Charities filled a funding gap for 2025 — the shelter still needs ongoing donations and volunteer support. News8000.com
- ➤ Chippewa Valley Air Show announced that two F-35 jets from the 115th Fighter Wing will fly over Eau Claire on June 28. The event is the first time the F-35 will appear at the show and it will join other acts such as the Navy Blue Angels and F-16 Viper Demo Team. WQOW
- ➤ Junior Achievement of Northwest will host its 29th annual JA Golf Outing tomorrow at Wild Ridge Golf Course with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m.—150 golfers are expected to compete in 18 holes, contests, auctions, and a special appearance by former Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame player Leroy Butler—and proceeds will fund programs in financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship.
