- ➤ Bike Week began Sunday with a beach-themed ride that featured decorated bikes and costumes—marking the start of six days of rides to concerts, baseball games and other local events along Eau Claire trails. Bike Chippewa Valley president Jeremy Gragert said the event will also hold bike maintenance workshops and commuter rides from Monday to Thursday—offering additional ways for cyclists to enjoy the festivities. - ➤ The fundraising campaign for the new Day Resource Center has not started yet — significant donations are already being pledged to support the project. Leader-Telegram
- ➤ Carson Park train rides are back this summer as Chippewa Valley Railroad offers half-mile trips through the park from Memorial Day until Labor Day — they also run on July Fourth for families. The rides cost $2 for kids 12 and under and $3 for adults. WQOW
