Local officials and business owners said the calls show a regional lack of resources and stressed the need for a coordinated plan with local agencies — a challenge that continues today.

The Chippewa River Trolley is back for its second full summer season and will offer four new tours that explore Eau Claire's sports and Scandinavian history, local farms & Menomonie mansions with afternoon tea.
