- ➤ St. Olaf Parish hosted Olaf Fest on the north side Sunday with games, beer, a band, a car show and a new bird housing station that raised funds for the church. Co-chair Mary Behling reported that 4,000 tickets were sold for concessions, games and prizes, showing the event’s growing popularity in the post-COVID era. WEAU
- ➤ The American Legion in Brackett hosted a free chicken dinner on Sunday for veterans, their families, and community members in honor of National Military Appreciation Month. Held at Post 550, the event served about 300 people — organizers said the drive-thru addition helped connect with the local community — and they plan to continue this tradition. WEAU
- ➤ On Sunday, community members gathered at Menomonie Airport to hold a fundraiser for the children of Ross Nelson and Raimi Rundle—who died in a plane crash in Trilla, IL. Hundreds came from a 25—100 mile radius to support the kids and honor their parents’ legacy. WEAU
