  • Feed My People Food Bank is hosting its 25th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser with handcrafted bowls, food trucks, live music and a silent auction where online bidding closed at midnight on May 15 — ticket sales offer meals and bowl vouchers while board members will match donations up to $5,000 — those not attending are encouraged to donate or volunteer.  WEAU

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On May 14 at 9:32 p.m., a vehicle crashed into a home in the (8500 block of West Cameron Street in the Town of Union) injuring one driver who was taken to a hospital for (non-life-threatening) injuries while no one inside was hurt.  WEAU

CRIME NEWS

  • The Eau Claire court set a $5,000 signature bond for 58-year-old Georgia Eaton, the owner of a home searched on April 4 where police found drugs and paraphernalia — 19 people were charged on 45 counts including possession of meth and other offenses.  WEAU

CULTURE NEWS

  • On Thursday morning, members of Visit Eau Claire, artists, and local workers installed over 30 new artworks in downtown, Carson Park, and near Mayo Clinic as they prepared for the Sculpture Tour. The tour will feature over 120 pieces—making Eau Claire the home of the nation’s largest outdoor sculpture tour.  WQOW
