- ➤ Marshfield Clinic donated $85,000 to Feed My People Food Bank in Eau Claire to help the organization purchase a refrigerated van for transporting food to local pantries. WEAU
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Stanley Fire Department responded to a house fire on County Highway MM in Wilson around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, where batteries for power tools reportedly ignited a kitchen fire that led to a total loss home and the death of a pet dog. WEAU
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild will host the 15th Annual Fairytale Ball at Florian Gardens on Friday, May 15 at 6 p.m. Costumed kids and adults will enjoy games, carriage rides, live Disney characters + a silent auction that benefits local arts programming. WEAU
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A North High School staff member resigned after being accused of creating inappropriate AI images of ECASD staff while using a personal computer, and district officials said no student images were involved (the matter remains under police investigation). WEAU

- ➤ The Eau Claire City Council is holding a closed session today to discuss buying land adjacent to I-94 for light industrial use as Gateway Industrial Park nears full capacity. City officials said negotiations are underway for remaining lots to support local growth. WQOW
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Data from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services show that tick-related ER visits have risen earlier this spring due to a milder winter and more outdoor activity. Health officials (an Eau Claire microbiologist) advise wearing long pants, using tick repellent, and checking for ticks after outdoor time. WQOW
