Phillips Memorial Public Library is inviting local artists, makers, technicians, designers and hobbyists to apply for its annual Makers in Residence program with an application deadline of May 8th and a four-week residency set from June 2nd to June 28th. Chosen makers will teach three two-hour workshops per week and receive a $750 stipend with up to $500 for supplies — an effort to expand creative access in the community. WEAU

- ➤ Eau Claire’s Community Services Director Lane Berg said glued campaign posters from Judge Susan Crawford’s election still cover lamp posts near downtown, West Grand Avenue and Water Street, causing paint damage and extra work. Crews will soak the posters in solvent on Monday—then pressure wash them—as officials track the hours spent on removal. WQOW
