  • The Downtown Eau Claire Farmers Market returns this Saturday, May 1, at Phoenix Park Pavilion with about 30 vendors selling baked goods, meat, and greenhouse produce. Manager Deidre Barrickman said new vendors, like a cheese house and bakery, will join this season.  WQOW
  • Residents in Eau Claire are advised to plan ahead for road closures on May 2 and May 3 because of the Eau Claire Marathon. Marathon organizers will close several streets — including northbound State St from the top of the hill to the 3rd Ward — to manage both runners and drivers safely.  WEAU
  • Xcel Energy urges caution near dams as Wisconsin's fishing season begins Saturday, noting that high water levels at Lake Wissota delayed boat barriers. Anglers and boaters are advised to obey warning signs, wear personal flotation devices & stay clear of restricted areas.  WQOW

  • The Eau Claire City Council approved a $270M biomanufacturing facility at Gateway Northwest Business park on Tuesday night, which will create about 100 jobs + boost economic growth over nearly a decade.  WQOW
