- ➤ The Eau Claire Marathon will take place on April 26 and 27 and will host thousands of runners as well as the 10K Charity Classic that benefits CORBA—Girls on the Run Chippewa Valley and Valley Girls Cycling Club with a $15,000 sponsorship from Royal Credit Union. The race will also feature Charity Chaser Brent Wathke in the half-marathon, who will trigger donations for Bob’s House for Dogs and Power of Perception with every runner he passes. WEAU
- ➤ UW-Eau Claire’s men’s and women’s rugby teams earned #1 seeds and will play in the Collegiate Rugby 7’s Championships from April 25 to 27 — the women have won national titles before and the men improved from a last seed finish — as they aim to win a national title. WEAU
