  • The Bolton Refuge House is hosting a spring market at Brewing Projeckt on Sunday, April 27, from noon to 4 p.m.—the event will raise funds to support survivors with transitional housing and legal services during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  WEAU

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Area law enforcement, including the Eau Claire Police Department, Fire Department and school district staff, conducted an active shooter drill on Monday morning at DeLong Middle School—testing their emergency response and crisis communication.   • On Monday, Eau Claire police officers and school officials at Eau Claire Area School District conducted their annual school threat training at DeLong Middle School + practiced emergency response protocols to prepare for potential school safety threats.  News8000.com
  • Today, the Eau Claire City Council will vote on projects to improve safety at two intersections. Rocket Construction donated $3,500 — which will fund flashing stop signs at Damon Street and London Road to be installed within a month pending final paperwork — while crews plan to install solar-powered pedestrian crossing signs next to the Mayo Clinic campus if the council approves the resolution.  WQOW
