Eau Claire residents enjoyed the Hmong Market hosted by the Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association on Saturday during Hmong History Month, where 20 vendors shared handmade arts and crafts.

The event, which is the fifth market and the first of two planned this year, will return later—celebrating Hmong New Year.

The fourth annual Born To Shine Prom in Eau Claire gave students with special needs a magical dance night with a morning pampering session and support from thirty fairy godmothers—organizers said it offers an inclusive celebration for young people who might not fit in at traditional proms.

Teams from CVTC, UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout competed at Chippewa Valley Technical College in a state-qualifying esports tournament — winners will advance to state championships on May 3 and 4 in Milwaukee.
