- ➤ Tuesday, Cornell School District passed a $15 million capital referendum to build a smaller, more efficient high school — addressing issues with plumbing, electrical and ventilation systems. Construction will start soon and is expected to be completed in three years. WEAU

- ➤ The City of Altoona plans to repair and upgrade The Yard container park with $75,000 from the 2026 budget. A proposal includes tile flooring for three restaurant container units (replacing old vinyl) and a new taproom roof plus event features, and goes to city council on Thursday. WQOW
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ UW-Stout named Durand native Sam Clayton as head women's basketball coach last night. Meanwhile, UW-Eau Claire and Stevens Point faced off on the diamond at Carson Park while local softball, lacrosse and boys golf teams posted results. WEAU
