- ➤ Royal Credit Union hosted a ribbon cutting on March 31 at its Corporate Center at 200 Riverfront Terrace in downtown Eau Claire to celebrate the Eau Claire Area Chamber's 110th birthday & Royal's 20th anniversary of the Corporate Center opening. Leaders including Mark Faanes, Tom Huffcutt & Brandon Riechers spoke about how the long-standing partnership has helped drive downtown revitalization & community growth. WEAU
- ➤ A fund named the 'Miles for Ann Fund' was established to honor Ann Seidl—a prominent Eau Claire marathon runner killed in a hit and run incident in Dunn County—and it is currently receiving donations to recruit runners who help those with disabilities. WEAU

- ➤ Addison Bowell, a 17-year-old from Menomonie, was charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and hit and run resulting in death after she struck 54-year-old Ann Seidl on County Highway Y in Dunn County Saturday morning — she will appear in court Wednesday afternoon. WEAU
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Eau Claire's Green Waste Facility opened yesterday at 10 a.m. on Jeffers Road to offer residents a way to recycle brush, grass clippings and leaves. The facility will operate (Mondays and Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) for the season. WQOW
