COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ At Tilly’s Coffee Shoppe in Fall Creek, a purple photo wall displays memories of Tilly, the daughter of coach Megan Harder who passed in May 2025. The high school softball team and Harder say the tribute unites the community as they gear up for the new season (a heartfelt local tribute). WEAU
- ➤ Patriot Palooza will host its third annual event on Saturday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Moose Lodge — 40 E. Newton to honor veterans. Community members are invited to join and show their support. The Chippewa Herald
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Latin Dance Lab, a group offering a social alternative to the bar scene, performed at UW-Eau Claire’s Culture Fest on March 19 and will host a Latin dance social on April 18 at 6:30 p.m. The group welcomes beginners and teaches salsa + bachata, merengue and cumbia. WEAU

- ➤ Dr. Brad Saron has returned to the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District after serving as superintendent a decade ago and has been touring district buildings and meeting with the school board; he will start his new role on July 1. WEAU
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ U.S. 53 construction between Golf Road in Eau Claire and 40th Ave in Lake Hallie will resume on April 6 to replace pavement near Otter Creek and finish by Memorial Day, and crews in Chippewa County will close lanes for pavement work until late June. WQOW
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Milwaukee Brewers have left FanDuel Sports and are available to stream on Brewers.TV + on regional cable channels for today’s Opening Day game against the Chicago White Sox. Fans in western Wisconsin should check their provider’s guide for the correct channel. WEAU
