- ➤ On Sunday afternoon at 1:55 p.m., a fire broke out in a first-floor apartment at 412 N Barstow Street in Eau Claire where crews quickly used a water extinguisher and removed two cats while residents were relocated (damage is estimated at $50,000). WEAU
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Six Chippewa Falls manufacturers will hold open houses this Saturday to show younger people their work environments and encourage them to consider a career in manufacturing. The event aims to help fill local job openings. Leader-Telegram
- ➤ Tommy’s Express Car Wash offered free car washes on the first Sunday after spring, and dozens of drivers lined up during a four-hour event—drawing nearly a thousand cars. Organizers said the event—intended to introduce the car wash to the community—helped build its local presence. WEAU
