- ➤ Chapel Heights United Methodist Church is hosting its 7th annual spring craft and vendor fair on Saturday, March 22—from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with lunch served at 10 a.m., where baked goods, crafts, and luncheon sales will raise funds for eight local charities. WEAU

- ➤ Chippewa Sun, a new solar facility in the Town of Hallie, opened to supply five megawatts of energy to UW-Eau Claire’s The Sonnentag, Springhill Suites by Marriott, and city buildings—Xcel Energy said the project will help meet sustainability goals and reduce carbon emissions. WEAU
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, the Wisconsin DMV announced that teenagers aged 15 to 17 who have completed classroom training and whose driver training school notified the DMV can now take a two-part knowledge test online (covering road signs and rules). Those who score at least 80% will pay a $10 fee for the online test and then visit a DMV office to secure their instruction permit. WQOW
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Tomorrow will mark one year since Sacred Heart Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital closed in the Chippewa Valley. Since then, local health providers have stepped in by opening a clinic in Eau Claire, buying a building in Chippewa Falls for a temporary hospital, and planning new facilities—community leaders say more care is still needed.
