- ➤ Feed My People Food Bank said that cutting the Local Food Purchase Assistance program and Local Food for Schools initiative has removed fresh food from Wisconsin farmers, leaving over 200 partner agencies and 30 school districts with fewer healthy meal options. The food bank noted that one in three households in its 14-county area already struggled to meet basic needs — further federal aid cuts are expected to worsen local hunger. WEAU

- ➤ Kimberly Wilson was sentenced on Monday after being charged with 11 felonies for stealing more than $200,000 from an area man, and she entered a 10-year deferred acceptance plea (requiring no new crimes, restitution payments of $274,294.72 and $705.28, and restrictions on handling finances) that will dismiss the charges if all terms are met.
