Today the Sonnentag fieldhouse in Eau Claire is hosting Pylon 7 on 7 football tournaments with teams from the Midwest and Canada competing for youth ages 10U to high school.
Organizer Erika Jackson said the event is successful and more tournaments will return next year — offering competitive opportunities.
Eleva-Strum girls basketball ended their historic season as state runner-up after losing 70—40 to Stevens Point Pacelli in the Division 5 championship.
The team finished with a 30—1 record and standout efforts from players Avery Glenz and Aliza Kulig.
UW-Stout men's hockey won over Anna Maria in the NCAA D-III Tournament's opening round on Saturday, March 14.
The win gives the team momentum as they look ahead to their next game.
