The 21st annual St. Paddy’s Day .01K Run/Walk to support the Hunger Task Force is scheduled for Tuesday, Mar.
17 (St. Patrick’s Day) and will invite local residents to join a charity run/walk to raise funds for hunger relief.

Local author Jerome Poling (known as Jerry) won a major award for his book that tells the untold story of the American Birkebeiner in Eau Claire today.
The recognition highlights his contribution to local literature.
Elk Mound Castle sits on a hill with sweeping Chippewa Valley views and a history starting when a flagpole marked the site in the 1920s.
A donated site later added a tower and a 1938 tree memorial for postal workers, inviting visitors to enjoy local heritage.
