- ➤ The RCU Foundation has named Jennifer McHugh as its first executive director; she will manage strategy, grantmaking + operations while continuing as vice president at Royal Credit Union. Her appointment aims to boost support for local nonprofits in education, health and the arts. WEAU
- ➤ Queen’s Dry Cleaning in Eau Claire began cleaning the 300 coats donated to HOM Furniture for local school kids last month and will finish in about two weeks (cleaning 10 to 12 coats daily). The business is proud to give back to the community. WEAU
- ➤ Community leaders launched a new homelessness initiative plan this morning which outlines a six-part strategy including improved data-sharing, outreach, affordable housing and prevention efforts to help local residents facing housing struggles. WQOW
- ➤ On Friday, the Eggs and Issues event addressed rising homelessness in Eau Claire, where nearly 200 people use a day shelter each month—Housing Our Neighbors Collaborative outlined plans for affordable housing and community support. WEAU

- ➤ The Eddie Bauer store in Oakwood Mall is set to close in eight to nine weeks—mall management has not yet confirmed an exact date amid circulating bankruptcy filing rumors. WQOW
- ➤ Festival Foods announced that Randy Munns, its executive VP and COO, will retire on Feb. 13 after a 40-year career in grocery. Adam Whitney, who joined in 2023 (with more than 25 years’ retail experience), will take over key duties at the chain. WQOW
- ➤ Chippewa Valley Regional Airport announced that Sun Country Airlines will return nonstop seasonal service to Southwest Florida Regional Airport in Fort Myers on Friday, Jan. 30. - ➤ City officials invite residents to share ideas by answering eight questions to help choose the design of an art piece for the pavilion at the upcoming Imagination Center in Reindahl Park. The feedback will guide the final design decision. The Chippewa Herald

- ➤ WESTconsin Credit Union offers $500 scholarships to up to 30 high school seniors in Eau Claire and nearby communities. Students must apply online by 11:59 p.m. on March 1 + award recipients will be announced in May. WEAU
