EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students from 16 schools competed in MATHCOUNTS at DeLong Middle School Thursday, tackling tests in algebra, geometry, and more, with top teams advancing to the state contest in Sheboygan in March. They received ribbons, plaques, and trophies (a rewarding day for mathletes). WQOW
- ➤ UW undergrads studying applied math & computer science gained real-world experience last summer interning on AI at Royal Credit Union and advanced machine learning techniques that could improve financial services in the community. Leader-Telegram

- ➤ Staff and volunteers began the bi-annual, point-in-time homeless count late Wednesday night in Eau Claire, Buffalo, Trempealeau, and Jackson counties.
