- ➤ Rodell Tow & Recovery in Altoona said cold weather has nearly doubled its call volume, so tow trucks may take longer to respond this weekend. The company advises drivers to carry jumper packs or cables and use block heaters to help start their vehicles. WEAU
- ➤ Couleecap announced it will transfer its business development programming to CAP Services to expand local business coaching and lending services for entrepreneurs in Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon Counties. Clients already working with Couleecap will automatically get support (Coulee Region) as the transition takes effect. WEAU

- ➤ The Children's Museum will stay open today amid dangerous cold weather and offer a pay what you can day so families can choose their admission rate; it is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (126 N. Barstow). WQOW

- ➤ Beaver Creek Reserve has received a 16-acre waterfront donation from one family to boost conservation, with the land at the mouth of Lake Altoona—where the Eau Claire River flows in—set for future events and educational programs as a community fund is established. WQOW

- ➤ Sheriff Dave Riewestahl reflected on 170 years of service as he noted changes in jail conditions, patrol vehicles, and crime trends while highlighting partnerships with neighboring agencies and honoring the legacy of Sheriff Cramer.
