- ➤ Xcel Energy is sharing energy-saving tips as extreme cold begins today in Eau Claire and the Upper Midwest. The company advises customers to lower thermostats, seal drafts, and use assistance programs, noting that reducing the temperature by one degree can lower bills by up to 3+ percent. WQOW
